Early in 2023 my colleague, and VP of Technology Integrations and Business Development, David Willis walked us through Realizing the True Power of Netskope Cloud Exchange. In the article, David painted the evolution of Cloud Exchange with a focus on how the Netskope Cloud Threat Exchange (CTE) module has matured since it was released. In summary, while CTE helps facilitate sharing indicators of compromise (IoCs) multi-laterally or bi-directionally, we see more customers using CTE to help migrate from legacy, premise-based URL filtering solutions to Netskope. The same customers can realize the full potential of their IT security investments when Cloud Exchange is brought to bear and new integrations are born across the technology partner ecosystem.
What’s New in Cloud Exchange
As Cloud Exchange reaches a new milestone in 2024, and with it the products and solutions that integrate with the platform, we’re excited to enlighten our audience with Cloud Exchange 5.0.0.
Here are some of the new features and enhancements, which were incorporated to strengthen the security posture across global organizations that leverage the CE platform:
- High Availability Clustering
- Support for High Availability (HA) with Active-Active clustering enabling resiliency across the CE deployment with a minimum of 3 nodes
- Offers superior performance, scalability across all CE modules and plugins
- CE as a VM (in BETA for CE v5.0.0)
- CE as a Virtual Machine (VM) will enable organizations to integrate their siloed security solutions across hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
- This feature will continue to remain in beta to allow customers to provide valuable feedback across VMware OVA, AWS AMI, Microsoft Azure/Hyper-V VHDX, and GCP Compute deployments.
- CE Enhancements
- Improved diagnostics enabling accelerated root cause analysis (RCA) & optimizing MTTR while troubleshooting issues at customer deployment
- Performance optimization across CPU, Memory, and Disk Utilization
- Reliability improvements across Cloud Log Shipper (CLS) & Cloud Threat Exchange (CTO) modules with an innovative “retry” mechanism
If you’re a Netskope customer and have a use case that requires you to move data between Netskope and IT/security solutions, Cloud Exchange is the tool for you. And if you want to take the next step to learn more about the Netskope Cloud Exchange platform, we invite you to watch this on-demand webinar Unpacking Series: Netskope Cloud Exchange for your Zero Trust Journey.
