Introducing the Netskope Cloud Security Certification Program

Netskope Academy is pleased to introduce the Netskope Cloud Security Certification program. This new program provides an opportunity for customers, partners, and employees to validate their skills and be recognized for their knowledge of the Netskope Security Cloud platform, as well as general cloud security technologies. The program is launching with two levels of high-stakes, third-party proctored certifications, with more to follow. These two levels include:

• Netskope Certified Cloud Security Administrator (which replaces the retiring Netskope Cloud Security Administrator accreditation based on an unproctored, end-of-course, online assessment)
• Netskope Certified Cloud Security Integrator (which replaces the retiring Netskope Cloud Security Integrator accreditation based on an internally-proctored, end-of-course, practical assessment)

Unlike some organizations that choose to bypass the rigorous steps in creating certification programs and exams, Netskope’s certification program is based on professionally recognized standards for licensure quality examinations and delivered through an unbiased, proctored process. These certifications have been designed and developed by Netskope subject matter experts under the guidance of Mensor Test Development Services, specializing in the development and maintenance of certification programs and exams. They will also be delivered and proctored through Pearson VUE, the global leader in computer-based testing for IT, academic, government, and professional programs. Moving to professionally developed, standards-based, third-party proctored certifications strengthens the technical credibility and integrity of Netskope’s program with industry practitioners worldwide. 

The targeted audience for program certifications includes these job roles/types:

• Security Engineer/Security Architect
• Network Engineer
• Support Engineer
• Security Analyst
• Sales Engineer/Systems Engineer
• Professional Services Engineer/Security Consultants

As of April 1, 2022, Netskope Academy will no longer offer post-course assessments. Instead, individuals who complete Netskope’s training coursework can access the new certifications through Pearson VUE.  It’s important to note that,  unlike the retiring accreditations, preparation for the new certifications also requires experiential learning on the Netskope Security Cloud platform, an understanding of the information available through the Netskope Knowledge Portal, general cloud security understanding, and more.

Previously attained accreditations at the Administrator and Integrator levels will retain their validity for two years from the date of initial attainment. Re-certifications and new certifications will require taking the new certification exams through Pearson Vue. Through July 31, 2022, Netskope Academy will offer partners and customers a discounted voucher upon completion of an appropriate course level (course completion is recommended but not required to participate in Netskope certification exams).
