I wasn’t looking for a job when I first started talking to Netskope about the role of VP of EMEA and LATAM Marketing. But after many talks with Sanjay Beri, Jason Clark and Raphael Bousquet, what drove me to join was a mix of Netskope’s talent, technology, and potential in the industry. It’s a bit like a puzzle, when you put all this talent, technology, position in the market, and potential together it quickly became obvious that this was the right move for me.
My main goal is to coordinate and harmonize all the different marketing programs across the EMEA and LATAM regions to raise awareness and drive demand gen. Supporting the growth of Netskope in those regions means making sure we establish the right marketing mix. This means finding ways to support the partner programs and ultimately drive the right relationships and business with our focus partners. This means working with the right people who are already in these regions and finding ways we can implement them in the most effective way. Additionally, we need to have the right tools, to be able to have the right data, the right dashboard, to make more data driven decisions.
EMEA and LATAM are also very big regions and the main challenge is that we need to be a local trusted advisor for every prospect and customer in every subregion and country. My main mantra in this role is “be global, act local”. We are seeing and hearing about cyber attacks every day in the news, so we know that security is an imperative for organizations here in EMEA and LATAM. I want to make sure we are building the user group community in every subregion and country, and then making sure we are marketing again in all of the different languages. I want to be able to adjust the way we talk about the value of Netskope locally, as different countries are at different levels of maturity. This is another piece of that puzzle coming together.
I see the marketing function as being key to support the sales function, and then I want all of us to succeed together. We are here to support growth and to make sure all the sales folks have the right contacts or the right pipeline in order to make their closing every quarter. I want us to be able to talk to the C-level across organizations, beyond just IT and the CISO, about what Netskope can do for them, even if just at a high level. Being able to speak to how Netskope fits into their main priorities will not only help us address their needs today, but in the future too.
There’s a tsunami of cloud activity and transformation happening and many organizations are eager to embrace it. And I firmly believe Netskope is well-suited with the right people, technology, and market potential to make this a reality.
