VP of channel and alliances recognized by list honoring unsung heroes of the IT channel
LOS ALTOS, Calif., October 1, 2014 – Netskope, the leader in safe cloud enablement, announced today that Gary Ochs, VP of channel and alliances, has been named by CRN as one of the “100 People You Don’t Know But Should” in the IT channel for 2014. Selected by the CRN editorial team based on ongoing feedback throughout the year from solution providers and other industry executives, CRN’s list celebrates under-the-radar channel management team members from some of the industry’s top vendors and distributors. These unsung heroes might not be household names but they work tirelessly to create, promote and manage the programs and policies that support the IT channel and help it thrive.
Gary Ochs joined Netskope in January 2014 after serving as vice president of business development and channel executive at IBM’s Q1 Labs for 10 years. Prior to Q1 Labs, he held senior sales roles at ArcSight and Symantec. Netskope established its partner program as a fundamental go to market strategy to ensure that our customer’s trusted advisors can continue to supply them with products such as the Netskope Active Platform™ to ensure safe and compliant cloud usage. Under Ochs’ leadership, Netskope has begun actively working with more than 40 partners in North America and Europe.
“The IT industry has a tendency to shine the spotlight on its top executives, but at CRN we know that there are a lot of other hardworking people who deserve to be recognized for their contributions as well,” said Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company, publisher of CRN. “This list is our way of recognizing some of the people that are in the trenches, working hard on behalf of the IT channel every day and making decisions that help tip the scales toward channel success.”
“As cloud app adoption continues to permeate the enterprise at an exponential rate, enterprises are faced with unique security and compliance challenges,” said Ochs. “Our team is looking forward to continuing our close relationships with our channel partners to help enterprises make that transition with this fundamental shift in technology.”
The “100 People You Don’t Know But Should” list is featured in the October issue of CRN and can be viewed online at www.crn.com.
