Corporate responsibility is a key part of the culture we’ve built here at Netskope. In recent years, we’ve taken on more formal environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives. With that in mind, we wanted to highlight some of the exciting things we’ve been working on recently.
In terms of ongoing sustainability efforts, Netskope recently received our second silver medal in a row from EcoVadis, the largest ESG ratings firm in the world. For those unfamiliar with the firm, EcoVadis evaluates over 130,000 businesses and organizations, across more than 220 sectors and 200 countries through an audit of their ESG programs, offering a rating based on performance in several categories. Netskope previously received its first Silver Medal rating from EcoVadis in late 2022.
We also recently sat down with Sanjay Beri, our CEO and founder here at Netskope, to chat about the new program Netskope For Good, which focuses on philanthropy and services efforts that help build responsible communities. Sanjay outlines why he feels this program is important to our success here at Netskope, what the program means to him personally and his views on the impact that programs like this can have on company culture and stakeholder engagement. Read the full conversation here, or visit our website here for the full breadth of our efforts in this space.
Another recent sustainability project Netskope helped accomplish was a joint project with Orange Business and Tenaka, focused on efforts to help sustain marine life and restore coral reefs. Netskope’s Solutions Engineer, Brice Renaud, used his interest in Raspberry Pi to help securely enable sub-sea IoT devices to transmit data back to Orange’s data center. In terms of diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I), we have continued to build out our programs to continuously prioritize belonging. This includes employee resource groups focused around women, veterans, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, Black employees, and those who are early in their careers. Through these groups, we seek to build community, provide resources, educate, and bring awareness, fostering a greater sense of belonging. We also continue to have regular internal communications about key awareness months, along with events celebrating key holidays like International Women’s Day, Pride Month, Juneteenth and many others throughout the year. In addition to our weekly internal communications, we are working on a roll out plan for a more formalized learning and development plan for DE&I.
ESG efforts at Netskope are an ever evolving process and we look forward to sharing more about these initiatives with you regularly. Until then, if you’d like to learn more about programs and initiatives here at Netskope, please visit our Corporate Social Responsibility page.
