In the April Netskope Cloud Report we revealed that on average, companies are running 41 apps in the HR category. If IT is aware of only 10% of cloud apps in use overall, this means that they probably know about 5 of these (should be 4.1, but we’re giving HR the benefit of the doubt since HR folks are probably more compliant with IT rules). The important questions to ask are which of these apps are systems of record, which contain personally-identifiable information, who are the administrators, and what are users doing in the apps (e.g., downloading data).
